The fertility of natural resource which is reflected in the old famous Thai proverb, ‘in the river, fishes swarm, in the land, rice abounds,’ still rings true to many Thai from generations and, as such, it was reflected in the fine dining experience that R-HAAN, the Michelin Star restaurant, serves every guest amidst the metropolitan scape of modern day Bangkok too.
Every menu at the Michelin Star R-HAAN was created and prepared with great care. The ingredients are meticulously selected and sourced from the most trusted providers, all of whom are the local personages or local organizations from every part of Thailand with international acclaim for their products and craftsmanship.
This is the crucial step for R-HAAN to achieve the goal from our foundation. Chef Chumpol Jangprai, the co-founder of R-HAAN, has endeavored to present the traditional Thai recipes, some of which are one hundred years old, in the contemporary global gastronomic scene while still retaining what made these recipes uniquely Thai.

“Star Gooseberry”
This Thai local vegetable with high nutrition is one of the household names in northern, northeastern and central Thailand. Star Gooseberry, with high protein, vitamin c, beta carotene and calcium, has a unique aroma which is crucial in Thai traditional recipes.
“Ant Eggs”
The local delicacy from Nakhon Ratchasima, the northeastern province of Thailand, is high in protein and other nutritions. With expert cooking, this delicacy could accentuate delicate taste in recipes amazingly.
"Red-banded Grouper"
One of the most sought fish from the local source of Thailand, the Red-banded Grouper is famous for its delicate and delectable taste and texture. R-HAAN, the Michelin Star restaurant, has selectively sourced the fish from Ranong, the southern province that provides high quality Red-banded Grouper. Chef Chumpol created the main courses in R-HAAN’s SAMRUB with this highly nutritious vitamin B and vitamin E fish, which we would like you to experience.
